Dropping the car off this evening at the dealers to have the ppp fitted tomorrow. Can't wait.

What's the biggest difference I'm going to notice?

Are there any precautions I have to take for the first few miles?

The two things I noticed above all (only drove non ppp once) was about 1000 rpm's less lag and much sweeter noise!

Talking

just got mine today on my wrx03!!

thought something was wrong at first, although it started pulling from lower revs it wasnt as 'rushed' as standard and i was initially disappointed.

after having driven it for about 3 hours now and terrorised the local area i can safely say, the acceleration is earlier, less 'laggy' and more savage (once warmed up). the throttle is more responsive and its easier to balance the handling of the car with it.

after just one night i feel more confident and am able to 'push on' a lot harder

can't say what the difference is like on the sti, but if its anything like the wrx, it's like getting a totally different car back.

oh did i mention the noise!!!

because it pulls from a lot lower, it just begs you to drive it hard.

god help my license...

It won't start so easily when its cold.

Seriously, it makes a big difference especially the performance in cold weather (when engine's warmed up). It doesn't like congested traffic and likes fast clear roads (cools down the intercooler).

It never starts first time when it's cold now! Not a big problem, just embarrassing! Hope it's not going to be any worse!

Cool

Took it out for a spin today. Started first time!

Biggest difference I've noticed (apart from the noise) is that it is much smoother to drive. You don't get the kick in the back that you used to, but I found it much easier to drive around town than before. The power band is definately much wider, with less need to drop it down a gear.

Can't stop smiling
