having owned the scooby for a few months im now ready for mods,but where do i start?.my01 already has a full decat scoobysport exhaust,itg panel filter,forge dump valve.its about 260 bhp now.i would like to take it to at least 300 bhp and have around £2.000 to spend.help me out scoobynetter's.

Hows about an ECUTEK remap, proly get you close to the 300bhp with the mods you already have.

Daz is corrrect,to make the next step forward your gonna be looking to upgrade the ecu in some way.Which way you'll want to go is gonna be down to yourself,there's a few diffrent options in this area.

Saw the reply and it said it all, apart from looking at the brakes, i.e. go faster need to stop quicker. This wont of course add the the BHP that you were looking for though

£2k would probably get you a ecu remap and a front mount intercooler then after that get bigger turbo

if it was my car i would go for-

walbro fuel pump £110
STI topmount intercooler £250 (2nd hand)
TDO5 front entry turbo £400 (2nd hand)
3 port boost sol £120
ECU remap by Bob at BRDevelopments £700 i think(not sure)

this should net you over 300bhp no problem and its well within budget

Hi Carterjohn,

I am no expert! But I have an MYO1 and have been asking the same question and trying to make up my mind for a while. Looking at the mods you have you should get near 300bhp for around a grand or so.

Is it fully cat free? if not Decat Uppipe, decat downpipe,centrepipe and Tek 3 remap. I think there is a group buy on one at the moment from Bob Rawle Brdevlopments he may need to install a three port solenoid to get better control of boost and may be worth putting the walboro pump and IC hoses on but ask mapper.

remap £650 + vat less on group buy
Solenoid £127 + vat less on group buy
