FSSH worthless?

Talking to Dave of BAT MOTORSPORT and he reckons that I am better taking my car to a specialist for servicing rather than main dealer as mileage is now in the 90,s. Car has FSSH but he reckons waste of money to use them now and wont help sale value in future, I have to disagree I know what I would look for whats your opinion?

FSSH is always worth money, but the premium drops as the car ages. BUT, imagine two cars .... one has FSSH since new ( say, 8 years ago ) .... the other has FSSH until 3 years and then not.
Which will YOU buy?
Correct the FSSH one of course .... it may not get more money but it WILL sell it!
Same with modified cars, a different backbox is fine - anything else smells of a RoyBacer and it won't find a buyer!
Stay with what Subaru sold you, intact, and keep the FSSH and it will be priceless come re-sale

yer but most scoobs get modded at some point and returned to standard when there up for sale, rather have history from a garage that knows how to tune a car rather than one that only works on standard cars

My car is an ex company car and has basically sat on the m6 for 3 years in 5th, its had bucketsfull of cash thrown at for servicing with receipts naturally.Just had it de-cated but thats as far as Im going, service due in March unsure which way to go I still favour FSSH (pslewis).

At 90K+ main dealer servicing is a total waste - in my opinion.
Just cos they are main dealers doesn't mean better servicing - I think most people are wise to that - if you are going to pay for someone else to service it at that mileage, go to a specialist. You will probably pay less money and get better value alround.
The argument above with 8 yrs FSSH or 3 yrs FSSH doesn't wash with me. It would all depend on the car - not the history.

I bought an Impreza without a FSSH. It's suffered no more ills than comparable cars with a full history. (touch wood )
It was substantially cheaper than one with a FSSH though. This buys an awful lot of parts if the worst happens.
