ive just bought the new STi, i pick it up on the 14th of this month. I want to put an atmospheric valve on it, just dyin 4 that wooosh!
But is it gonna mess things up? is it worth it? coz i no it already comes wiv a reserculating valve!
If its best 2 put a atmospheric 1 on, what are the top 3 options?

You've not even got the car yet and you're already desperate to muck about with it? Imprezas are designed to run with a recirculating dumpvalve, and as you've already been told, atmospheric ones can mess up the fuelling.
If you're desperate for a car to make silly noises, you could have saved a lot of money and bought a knackered old Fiesta RS Turbo instead. If you want to preserve the warranty of your new car, as well as keep it running in optimal condition, leaving it standard for a while might be a good idea.
BTW, why start another two threads on this subject when you asked the very same question yesterday, and received a perfectly good answer?

I had a forge motorsport atmos dump valve fitted by main dealer on my new sti8 before i even picked it up. sounds great & I like it.
My dealer was not critical of mod.
Good luck

I've had a Baileys VTA on my MY97 for 18 months with no probs at all.....took it off last week for a change and I gotta say I prefer it without the "whoosh" now.....probably put it back on in another 18 months for a change !!
