Do i have an MY97 or 98......Its on the 97 R plate but ive read a description of my car saying Aug 97> =MY98. It still has the old dash. Was it only the S plate 98 that got the extra goodies or did the R plate 98 also get the extra goodies.

When did the rear wiper get introduced as i dont have 1.

The 1235kg official weight of the classic scooby, is this with aircon or without?

Will i hit a 5 sec 0-60?? (Have 260bhp/245lbft) and 16' wheels, will having smaller wheels make a difference to my acceleration as im pondering on upping to 17' but still want to keep the same level of acceleration.

Will i beat my bosses new 53 plate standard STI??

Uk cars didnt have rear wipers. Your acceleration should remain the same going upto 17" as the tyre will be of a lower profile.

Assuming this is a uk car :

My MY98 UK had a white dial dash
The MY97 got upgraded bits as well
Rear wiper, not on uk classic models only on imports (exception was P1 and 22B tuk)
1235kg is kerb weight without air con
MY97 had 208bhp and hit 60 in 5.2-5.5 seconds

Big wheels negliable difference (as you will end up wioth a very close rolling radius) except 17" will probably add more unsprung weight

If you have 260bhp then easily beat a new STI in a straight line as you have nearly 200kgs less weight for the same power. Around the twisties then the sti we be in another class I am afraid
