They do look a bit fugly though, and are common. Shame.
it wont be a classic for that reason, they are common and are still being made, improved even.

They will be classic for the following reasons:
1). they are now getting cheap which means 17yr old boy racers will get hold of them and up the boost and make no other changes, KABOOM, scrap heap, numbers WILL drop on the "classic" model, i'm sure!
2). its an interesting car, people ALWAYS ask about it!
3). It has a rally pedigree
How long we wait is another matter, but for most car enthusiasts and the general public it is a car not to be underestimated!

Shame, that guy never had his own opinion, just something he heard said before. Then try and look like he had an opinion, but was shot down.

Rally car - exactly, thanks to Mr McRae it has pedigree, just like the Audi Quatro, escort etc etc.
The impreza was the performance car of the 90's
How can a bluebird be a classic and an impreza crock.
Why not put the idiot in the passenger seat and let solberg give him a demo.
Me think he would change trousers.

I've left feedback, I say if they dont get it put back that we should organise a MASS meet outside the studios and cause utter chaos Or somehow get onto the track and cover it with hundreds of scoobs from SN

the funny thing is do you really think having a couple of million emails will convince the beeb there aint loads of em ie common. Dont see how you can say they aint common but it still a lurvly sight & car.
By the topgear spec for being a classic there is no doubt they fail on the rare factor, unless yer being pedantic sayin 22b m8 lol, but yes defo succeed on the interest factor no doubt about that & as for beauty IMO they are lush but dont think i'd describe them as beautiful they are more butch init.
So i'd say tiz all good but will make for an amusing thread no doubt
out of interest anyone managed to get classic car insurance policy on older scoobs yet?

To be honest, I watch TG these days for a laugh.
I don't take their opinions on cars too seriously anymore.
Especially after what they said about the Impreza being CROCK instead of a CLASSIC!
Interesting battle between the old and new cars though. See the Turbos kick in on the 300ZX, and it was bye bye 350Z!
And the Escort Cossie against the FRS was a foregone conclusion anyway.

Scoobs may be commonplace now but I will challenge anyone to find an unmolested, low mileage classic shape impreza in 10 years time!
Apart from the one that'll be in my garage of course

I actually liked that episode, and there are no "T&C" that say they have to be fair, balanced, boring.
In 10 years time we might actually agree
Apart from that, it's cool to own a crock

Classic Impreza is no more a classic car than early Evos. As long as the newer ones are quicker and nimbler then there's no defence for last years model.
Most early STi perhaps. 22B definately. Regular Joe Public Turbo, nope.
