Never driven a Subaru before but decided that before I look too old in one I'd better buy one so I took an STI8 PPP out for a test drive yesterday. What a car. Totally awesome. Anyway I have been offered a fantastic deal on a new STI8 with PPP if I do it before the end of the month. Now call me suspicious but dealers don't give good deals for nothing.

Does anyone know if there is a model change early next year or have I found a dealer who is near there annual sales target?

Anyone have any comments?

Glad you liked it

Next years model is already here, so to speak. The 04 Model Year(MY04) arrived here in November. The only thing that's known to be in the pipline for next year is the Petter Soldberg special edition, of which there have been no hard facts about.

So I think you're quite safe going for the STI 8 with PPP. It might be worth pushing the dealer to get some money off the Prodrive Springs and fitting too.

as it's the end of the year then wait a week and you'll probably get it even cheaper than you have been offered already.

Can i ask where thr dealer is with an sti 8 ppp

ive been looking for a demo for a while, im thinking of trading my 02 wrx ppp for one.
since the insurance is only a hundred quid more

the insurance was the reason i chose the wrx when they first quoted 600 more

also what what is best price you can get on it.

yes its to do with sales figures for the month as December is a very slow month for car sales due to everyones money being spent on xmas prezzies, going out etc.
There are plenty of good deals out there if you look, its best to contact a few dealers as you can probably barter a better deal between them. The missus saved £2k on her new seat leon cupra, she contacted a couple of dealers and one offered £500 off for the model in the showroom, the other offered almost £2k off the car of her choice, so she got the colour and spec she wanted. we went back to the first dealer to see if they would match the deal, the best he could do was still £1k more than the other, needless to say we went to the other dealer and got the car in 3 days (and no it was not an import). so shop around and strike up a deal, their bonuses and franchise rights depend on achieving certain sales targets.

Picked up MY53 STI 4 weeks ago.

Part-ex my 10month old MY52 WRX with 20'000miles.

The deal was so good, I only lost £500 on what I paid for my WRX 10 months ago.

As I said to the saleman ' look after me and I will be back each year buying a new car '

Happy subaru customer.
