Frankly, after a response like that "we can't allow this" I would take the 10% discount, and the banner add, and offer it elsewhere.
"I'm pleased to announce my new job at TEXT REMOVED BY BANNER AD GESTAPO will commence in January"

he had to do something i agree.
Like sort out the financial for the banner ad which is promised in January.
Ask Rich to edit out the offending bits until the deal is sorted.
Contratulate him but remind him of the rules etc.
At least the body of the post was left intact, although if it mattered that much surely the commercial elements could be removed (10% discount stuff etc).
Think is was Shaun anyway, and obviously he has always been one to follow the rules...

I understand why the thread was locked as it did look a bit advertish I suppose. So, I apologise for that as that was not my intention.
The decision was made not to put the banner up again (as they have had one earlier this year) until I was there full time, as it seemed a bit daft to advertise BEFORE there was someone there to answer the phone all the time.
BUT in the New Year there WILL definately be a banner.

Congrats Rich! It's a shame certain other advertisers get away with blatant plugs on here isn't it?
