just got a n plate wrx estate - great car but had problems with header tank boiling over after hard runs. n.b just had car serviced. Anyone know why this is? Also find it hard to shift gears quckily without the car jerking. Seems to be some noise from the back diff?

When this happened to me, I found that the cylinder head had a hairline fracture. This was allowing the pressure to decrease and boiling the water. This can be checked by putting a sencer in the header tank to check for gases. Try your local garage.

Good Luck
