A type r scoby? my m8`s keep telling me they blow up al the time and i would be better of getting 4 dr like a wrx. but i really dont want a 4dr nowt against them but i want a 2dr preferably. help pls

If taken care of they should be just as reliable as any other Impreza. To claim that they "blow up all the time" is abject bollocks.

Sure, if you run one on the wrong fuel, add silly modifications or don't have it serviced properly, it is much more likely to fail at some point. However, you can say this about any turbocharged Impreza; singling out the Type R's for this criticism is simply wide of the mark.

As above, A scoob is a scoob if you dont look after it properly
you'r going to have problems, but whoever singled out type R's
dont know **** all about subaru's.

although they are more performance based so if not treated as they should then maybe more likely to pop i suppose. However if you only want one cause it's got 2 doors yer likely to bend it before it blows up lol
