i believe you will also get the option on the STi of having the DCCD-A transmition system..................at an aditional charge.

One day maybe the UK buyer wont get ripped off........

On second thoughts, doubt that very much.

Can anyone tell me what the DCCD-A tranny is all about. I have never heard of it before. (New to Scoob ownership)

It is a diferent centre diferential system that gives variable slip based on the input for a computer that is sensing G loads, throttle position, ABS etc etc. It also gives a diferent torque split than a UK spec STi, being 65R:35F rather than 50:50, which makes the chassis a much more balanced and dynamic setup. There is also the option to overide the computer control and adjust the centre diferential manually.

Currently the USDM and JDM spec cars get this, the UK does not, this is fitted with a Viscous Coupling centre diferential.

AFAIK the DCCD will only be available on 1000 limited edition cars Europe wide on the 04 STi model.

John I totally agree. Not to mention the suspected price tag of around 29-30k. Oh but you will get some anthracite BBS wheels, which must fully justify the extra money
