They weren't actually making any money from these tours because the cash all went to children in need. The tour was excellent though.

As far as I know and see it ALL money from the tours and auctions is going to children in need and they weren't making a penny from it and fair play to them for doing so. We all got gifts for going and they presented my sister with a t-shirt signed by Petter Solberg as a birthday gift to her You can't say anymore than that!

Question

Unrealboss, Prodrive can't sell directy to any UK private individual for road car use. Subaru UK aka International Motors hold that franchise for Subaru, so if you have a problem it's with them, not Prodrive.

because STI8 a import from Malta? even tho UK Spec and they all imported from somwhere, they said because warranty issues..all to do whether it a EU country or something dosent mean a thing to me! wasnt bothered about warranty as know not got one in this country it lies in Malta..firm that imported gave me third party warranty not worth a wnak...so going the full De-Cat and Re-Map route with better power/performance figures than PPP!! Just last Cat and Re-Map to do now sweeeeeeeet!

Anyway, back on topic and not just random pieces of info thrown into any post you come across

Was at the tour last night too with the misses and we both thought it was a fantastic evening. Lisa did appear to glaze over at the run-down on gearbox shift times though Approx 2 hours was the quoted time of the tour, but ended up being nearly 3..... well organised, lots of info so thanks to our host and Prodrive

Colin, our guide gave us a security brief before we set off.But the only hush hush areas we went in with no cameras were the engine prep rooms (Rally & Ferrari) & the transmission/suspension prep room.Everywhere else was ok.

Mr Richards
Oh dear mention Prodrive & people jump out of their prams when they dont get their own way.

Import STi says it all.It is not exactly unknown for IM/Subaru/Prodrive to not want to have anything to do with "cough" imports. Why do you think dealers dont DO imports, never have & never will?

No problem now...subaru do have the problem true too greedy and when a import comes along they dont like it cos there franchise never got any wages outa the deal!
Hmm a bit like bootleg albums,Subaru do all the leg work & someone tries to cream off a profit with no outlay. So now you have your de-cat & remap for less than PPP.So you saved yourself exactly how much?

A few hundred quid? And how much will your first breakdown cost?

And how much is 3 years worry free motoring worth?

You say your not worried about warranty, but only cos you havent got one. Most people have.
