welcome back EK, bet the roads up there were amazing?
never heard of that sort of mpg before, well done, you must have fixed your exhaust then?
I get 220-240 miles out of £40 of optipish, bout 20-22 mpg.

Ya can't just post figures like that and then not tell us how you achieved them, I smell a rat here!
Have Subaru brought out a hybrid and failed to tell the masses?

LOL
Thanks peanuts! Yeah, had a great time, loads of ace roads to drive around!!!
Yes it's a turbo
No the turbo was not in the boot
No i wasn't using deisel
No my right foot is not made of helium
No the vacuum hose has not blown off
No I was not being towed
No I was not using a sail
Went down a few hills but foot on the gas all the way
Wind wasn't that strong
No it was not on the PS2... Or Xbox
No i was not running on Jack Daniels..... 2/3 Opitmax 1/3 BP Ultimate
Peanuts: No, I haven't fixed my zorst
Yes it was on motorway
cruising at 70mph - 80mph most of the way over 360 odd miles!
And no I am not lying! I am dead serious, average fuel consupsion was 39Mpg, I though it was wrong and rechecked several times but had the same result, even got other people to calculate it and they came out with the same.
maybe it was a chemical reaction between the optimax and bp ultimate which created some kind of super fuel!
Before this week, my average has been:
Lots of hard driving: 14Mpg
fair bit of hard driving: 22mpg
driving nicely: 27Mpg
this was the first proper long journey i've done in the car and was quite suprised!
EK
Edited to add...
No it is not a hybrid
No I do not have a rat.... But my sunroof sometimes squeeks!

Well, after yesterday's 60K service I'd better get some good figures from now on. £540 including a new Lambda sensor.
Shat meself I did at that price.
