Civic Type R smash and grab
#1
Was having my tracking checked on saturday at the local Hi Q - saw some damaged wheels in being repared, turns out this chap was selling his 11 month old civic Type R, dude comes to look at it, asks if he can hear it running, smashes the bloke in the face and nicks off with the car.
The worst thing was he rang Elephant.com who said sorry mate ours is a ten month insurance policy and it's expired(no renewal sent). Luckily the guy got his car back but it was well scuffed.
moral - be careful when selling your car and don't use elephant.com the sharp tw@ts.

Insurance companies are WELL on the ball when it comes to renewal time. Do you think they want to risk losing your business by not reminding you?
No chance and Elephant are one of the most orgainised when it comes to renewal time!
He should be charged with driving with no bloody insurance!
Imagine the **** smashed into the back of one of our lovely Scoobs?
That'd be fun! Not.

Maybe the guy was telling porkies then to cover up his own stupidity? Anyway he's lucky he got it back or that would have been a costly mistake but have a little sympathy as he's got a flat nose and a scuffed Type R - that wasn't his fault was it!
