#1
my wrx 03 of three weeks has wiper blades that have an annoying "clunk" when they reach the top of there travel and then fall back i have checked the linkage etc and all appears ok is it the standard wiper blades that are poor quality and need changing to aftermarket or am i being to fussy?

mine seem Ok on my 03 WRX after one month and 3k, although alot of people complain about them on this site. I'll ring one of the companies like scooby mania if mine start to smear or make noises -maybee you should?

You're not fussy, mine are crap too. They only seem to clear the screen going up and make some annoying noises on the way down if it isn't chucking it down. I've tried cleaning them etc but to no avail, so will be trying some of these double-edged silicone jobbies if I can get Santa to deliver....

My blades are sh*te. No clunk yet on my, MY53, 5.5k! (this that a lot??)) but the blades don't shift the water very well. Have also tried cleaning them, but no joy.

Interested in any other recommendations as mine are also crap (WRX03) Complained to dealer - recommended cleaning with Meths. Done that: no improvement. No clunk, but leaves huge smear centre screen from drivers side wiper.

I'm with SU3ARU - changed to PIAA Silicon - miles better. Follow the instructions carefully when you fit them. Never taken me so long to fit a set of blades! But they do work. Not cheap, but worth it IMHO
