Question

Hi Guys
am really sorry - am being a muppet, and cannot seem to attach pics on this message - i've looked at previous threads on attaching pics, but am being too blonde this morning!

anyway, the following link is the same query on SIDC forum:
http://forums.sidc.co.uk/messageview.cfm?catid=18&threadid=8883

I don't mean to be rude putting the above link on - i just can't think of any other way of getting the pic on!

anyone have any idea what the circled pieces are and what purpose they serve?

many thanks
Lewis

it handles very well, is cheap to insure, doesn't drink fuel, and i can do token modding to it.

They are probably for air pressure or something.

My old MR2 had loads of little extra boxes and pipes like that coming from the airbox. It was to balance the air pressure and feed the engine the correct amount of air.

When i removed it all and added a K&N, the whole mid range had gone, so I reverted back to stock.

safe to assume then that they aren't seriously important - just plugging holes, and i can replace the whole pipe with samco ones?!?!

ha - fat chance!
bought this wagon 2 years ago from a mate - he'd only had it about 6 months, but his 80-year-old granny had had it for about 7/8 years before him!! Cool granny eh?

I'm not sure what they are but if you find out let me know as I have the same on my 1.6gl.

Maybe they're handles for carrying the air intake tube thingy.
