Got my classic back from the dealer after no.3 big end failure (misery reported 2 mos ago) and have been driving a borrowed CRV in the meantime. Told the dealer I basically had to sell the motor to pay the bill and he begged me to take it out first as it "goes like a f'in race car" (how does he know I wonder?). Guy was of the opinion that the previous owner had driven it like a total mong - shame it's a mate of mine that sold it to me recently. But it does indeed go like a b******. Also clutch judder from 1st eliminated by replacing cracked flywheel. I keep putting off the decision to sell it 'cos I love that car. You all know what it feels like.
