Alarm Key Fob thing
#1
Both my alarm key fobs have broken where you put the key ring through.
I read in an old thread that you can drill through part of it. How do you get them apart without breaking them to make sure you are not drilling through any components?
Or where can I get a replacment casing for a lot less than the £35 I saw quoted?

We had to pay around £35 for a replacement, luckily we just took the insides out of the old one and put them into the new one. Otherwise it would have been more if we needed to have a new re-programmed.

These fobs are supplied with a small metal ring through the plastic slot, which you should attach the key ring to. If you remove this and attach your main keyring directly to the plastic slot it wears through the plastic quickly. Don't know if this is what you have done, but keep it in mind for the new key fob.
