Had all the replies. I contacted our supplier on Sunday, he mailed me yesterday saying he was busy and would get back to me. I will send another mail today to chase thing up.

As an import owner it is getting increasingly difficult to obtain NF Race. I have spoken to an NF supplier that is currently in talks with NF HO to obtain supplies directly. Would anyone be interested in a group buy that I'm more than happy to organise. I cannot give an indication of price until we have an idea of how many bottles we shall be ordering or an estimate of timescales. Bit crap but good things take time !!!
As a guide 1 bottles will treat 2 tank fulls.
Please add your name below and how many bottles you shall require and when we have a few orders I shall come back with prices and timescales.

You may be waiting a while
As the current batch into the UK is clearing customs and is pretty much all accounted for already!!! - maybe NF cant meet the demand? after xmas if you buy direct?

Agree with the customs comment I have 12 bottles hopefully arriving next week This is more of a medium term buy with delivery in the new year. I believe the bottleneck in the UK is the sole UK distributer, I have never spoken to them as every number just rings and rings !!!! resellers also cannot get hold of them. NF are aware of the problem and hopefully will rectify the situation soon but I will need more at some stage along with all other Jap owners so I'm more than happy to have a crate full in the garage for when I need it and if we can order in bulk and save a few pounds its probably worth a group buy.

6 bottles
I've gone for a tad more than that.... so I dont get into the situation I'm in now - i.e. 1 bottle left..........
I'm currently waiting on several boxes!! (30 bottles a box)
and for the higher tuned cars they use 1 bottle on each fill up.
On less than a box its not worth the hassle of the postage and packing. Whilst yes the person doing the group buy would be able to get a good deal in bulk is it worth the hassle someone asking for less than a box worth - unless you all live in the same area and someone could have a box delivered
The stuff is also more expensive that a year or so ago - as the e/r has gone against us. Think the retail is something like £13 plus Vat a bottle
Of course you can get this down as you buy in bulk - probably £11.50ish all in would be a good price to aim for - if you can get it!!!

If you have a tek 2 - you should be able to get it mapped to account for the booster - unless the TEK 2 automatically advances the ignition to account for the booster - doubtful
Pat Hebborn or one of the Tek mappers would know this answer

you can have any MY99 onwards subaru ECU remapped using ECUTEK software so you dont have to buy octane booster. Some people map the cars with NF in the tank for more performance, i dont see the point in that unless you are racing as you are only talking a few BHP.
A list of mappers are on the ECUTEK website.

Since NF became unobtainable I have gone back to my Toluene "special brew" and it works just as well (no detectable knock anyway)
If NF does come back again I'll probably buy a few bottles.

I have always used 1/6 of a bottle for road, and 1/3 of a bottle, per tankful, for track.
I've found this is ample, no knock-link activity whatsoever.
STi Type RA (reasonably tuned)
