Toying with the idea of a Forester for a second car. A dealer near us has a S Turbo on a V 1999 in black looks great but it's done 87000 miles is it a leave it alone or can these motors go for ever

Not sure about the mileage, it'll probably be near a major service costing ££££ so if you are buying it get that thrown in as part of the deal.

Might be worth finding one with less miles on.

I bought one (a new MY04 XT Turbo) for the wife. Brillant car, and to be honest, it's a better mode of all round transport than my STI PPP. In short I love it.

Now all I need is to persuade the wife to have it prodrived..

I test drove on the other day, very impressed, abit on the dear side though it did have leather seats. They wanted £20.500 ex demo.
