Hi Paul

There are a couple of threads floating around about Motorpoint. I've never had dealings with them; been scared off by the stories and the lack of a proper Subaru warranty.

I'd buy an 03 like a shot though, and I've had '94, '96, '98, '02 and '03 models.

Cheers and good luck.

Don't do it m8 - you'll regret it !! Spend a bit on modding your classic and you'll have much more fun - went through this scenario myself recently but saw the light !!

I kow what ou are saying, the classic is a better looking car....

But i would perhaps fancy the drive of a new car.....

I may even hold off and go for an ex demo STI 03 model....

Any of you guys got one....?

Are they as good as they look....?

I dont really fancy loosing the extremely loud flat 4 i have at the moment with the full ss decat'd exhaust i got the noo either....

Help...!

I am in turmoil.......

mmm depends if you are having any problems with your classic. I went for brand new cos I am really unlucky with second hand cars - would have loved a classic...

Paul ATB, i was in 2 minds whether to pick up a good 98,99 or 00 (cant stand that bug eyed thing!!) or go for a new one. Test drove a stock 03 STi and fell in love with it. Sold my AC Cobra and the runabout, borrowed a few k and hassled every dealer in the country to get me a debadged silver one el pronto!! Cash always persaudes them to try harder. I looked at Motorpoint as well but wasnt prepared to go through the 'fog' of a european spec car with respect to servicing. Malta is to be avoided apparantly as there are at least 2 euro spec cars?? No idea why! My dealer had a euro spec 02 in when i collected mine with gearbox probs and it was a warranty nightmare that had been there for 3 months!!??? Spec differs as well, i.e tracker, underseal, dah dah dah.

Had the PPP kit fitted at 1000 and ive been grinning for the last 2500 miles!! You wont regret the 03 model.

If you go import, know ya onions and ask loads!!

HTH and good luck!!
