Had the STI8 spring kit fitted yesterday, by SCOOBYCLINIC and what a difference it makes, can`t believe how much better this makes the car feel. Gone are the days of the bouncing about at low speeds and the handling feels 10x sharper. A must from any STI8 owner.
Kev at SCOOBYCLINIC was very helpful and did it at a fantastic price with full geometry set up, I can recommend then to anyone.

Yep, the STI8 prodrive spring kit he got it for me from the local scooby dealer. I saw it in the box with the bumpstops and all the paperwork.
Job Done at £345 inc. geo. setup.

forest172: I am assuming that, like me, you got your STi from Triangle. If so, is there any reason why you didn't get it fitted there?
I was thinking of giving them a call to arrange fitting to my car, but if there is a better reason to take it to scoobyclinic then I will take it there.

Correct all to do with price, £345 all in compared to just below the £500 mark. They only charge £20 an hour, they`re set up to do everything.
Must have been 20 odd scoob`s around the place inc. a couple of 22b`s and a JDM STI8 (why we don`t get spec like that hell knows, the dials are amasing.)

What was the job like though! Hows the tracking and thier 4 wheel alignemet? I know the dealer has a top quality 4W set-up as I had mine back in for pulling to left... Next thing s does it affect the warranty? I'f it doesn't from the dealer i assume it won't from Scoobyclinic

It won`t effect warrenty it`s a geniune Subaru part. They`ll give you a computer printout and he said any problems just bring it back. Loads of folk recommend them on here.

Oh by the way they also turned my Subaru badge from BLACK to STI Pink, it looks well smart! Better than splashing out £40 for the proper one!

Well I've just been quoted £411 Inc VAT for Prodrive Spring kit and fitting by a dealer, so £350 for everything (inc geomentry) is a very nice price.
Are you sure it doesn't effect the warranty? as I thought that even though the spring kit is an offical part it had to be fitted by a Subaru dealer for the warranty to be valid?

AFAIK, the springs do not have to be fitted by a dealer to keep the warranty intact. And I doubt they can stipulate (sp!) that it has to be... Unless of course, you get it fitted by a plumber or something, then there might be an argument it wasn't fitted by a qualified Technician
