Oops weird how that isn't working but if you go to www.j-w-racing.co.uk/acatalog/BIG_GAUGE_SALE___.html you might be able to find the massive and the not so massive gauges there!

It might be helpful to post the before and after prices?

You are aware that to call something a "sale" certain conditions have to be met in UK law?

Not having a go, I just want to see exactly how much of a bargain this is

Cheers,
Nick.

There are roughly 20% savings across the board on everything bar Autometer gauges.

What?

Sorry you are confusing me now! :S

The items in the gauge sale are all well below RRP, hence they are in a sale, it isn't that difficult, is it?

I thought there was no concept of RRP in the UK - our joyous government abolished it? Doesn't seem to stop people, admittedly...

I also thought advertising goods for sale (as in special offer) meant that they had to have been offered by you previously at a higher price?

I don't really care either way as long as the prices are good

The Gauges are priced slightly higher on the standard web page for these and the gauge offer link is discounted prices i believe.

LOL

All the gauges are priced higher elsewhere on our sites. Don't know about the RRP laws but they are still given by my official suppliers and they are set as a guide for us.

Anyways, the prices are nice and cheap and hopefully will attract some of you!

Have a good weekend lads!

Here we go - http://www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/consultpdf/priceann.pdf

"The Consumer Protection Act 1987 makes it a criminal offence to give consumers a misleading price indication about goods, services, accommodation (including the sale of new homes) or facilities."

Saying something is a "massive sale" and not reducing the price could be construed as misleading. I'm not saying it is, but someone will no doubt be **** enough to think it is.

I should be clear that I couldn't give a stuff mate, but the word "sale" has specific meanings in law IIRC, hence why shops always have signs up saying "goods have been available at the higher price if bought in mars by underage aliens" or other such guff

Wink

Perhaps it could be called a massive gauge offer instead?

You've been speaking with Simon, haven't you?

It's been a day where I've been avoiding the massive pile of work on the desk
