I had a Sport Special for 2 1/2 years. I bought new for the wife and when she left I ended up with it. So I traded it for a turbo.
The SS is a very good car. Reliable dependable and reasonably quick. It is very easy to drive and fantastic in the snow. (I haven't had the turbo in the snow yet)
I would recommend it to anyone who was a "normal" car.

Cheers Ian........
Thanks MadGrip......
Just posted a few new pics this morning showing the UK300 wing fitted, i see that your looking at getting stickered up ??
Have you decided on a colour yet ? if you look at the sticker on the wing i have gone for a very light gray colour, nearly invisible from one angle and as you walk around it gets more noticable then quite prominent.... decided on this as for it not to be to loud, also on the tinted side windows went for a gun metal colour sticker ( slightly metalic )
Sorry quality is a little poor just a cheapy cam.....

i have a sport courtesy car at the minute, brand new 03 wagon.the build is nice and sturdy but its hopeless to drive cant overtake anything unless you have a runway length bit of road. all other subaru drivers blank you and ive seen a couple, also other car users look at you and think why buy a sport or expect it to take off cause they see its a subaru but you cant and will do

I've owned both and you don't feel fake, just felt that it would be nice to have a bit more power when someone was pushy behind you with a 'ha, it's only a sport' attitude. Shame they never did one with say, 160bhp.
The handling was superb though and I could drive it beyond my limits without getting into trouble. With the Turbo if you went too far, the safety margins were a lot less IMHO.
Great car, fond memories.

Yeah,
I've got a sport (51 plate GX) and I love it!
True I'd like the WRX or an STi, but there's a huge hike in insurance! (Maybe one day!)
The handling is still superb, and it's still a great car!
Would definitely recommend one for someone who's pockets are not lined with gold!

i got a 5-door sport a few years back and thought it was an excelent car great for the handling and load carrying capability it was the fastest car id had till then and never had much probs overtaking and such. I enjoyed the sport that much that when i decided to get a turbo in july this year i didnt think the difference would be that much, but much to my surprise i found out that it is day and night between them though i must say i still have the sport for the handling and i dont think id be happy letting the missus back into a 2-wheel drive after feeling the security of 4-wheel.
I still drive it on occasions but find myself wanting to boot the **** out of it to get the performance im now spoiled to have....
Paul.
