If you drop your car off at a dealer/repairer and they give you a rough idea when it will be started then they send you a letter and it says in the letter that it will be started at a certain time is the dealer allowed to change there mind even though i have it in writing??

if it's a waiting for parts issue then you can't say too much but if it is becuase they are busy then it's a bit sh*ty but all you can do is vote with your feet and go somewhere else!

Well they gave me the the week it was going to be started and now they have changed there mind as they have booked other work in. So they want to start it in 10 weeks. WTF. They expect me to be without a car for 10 weeks. Not had a car for 3 weeks and it has just been sat there. As you can tell i am a bit p*ssed off

If they treat you like this, I dont think they will have much care about the work they need to carry out. Say to the manager you will have the vehicle moved to another garage and bill them for the move. The letter must give you some legal claim on the work.

If its a franchised dealer, complain to Subaru. Parade outside the garage and hand out leaflets, dont let them get away with such crappy service.

Tell us the name so we can all boycott the garage !!!!!!!

Its not a franchised dealer. Rather not say who yet until i have spoke to them about it as some of the people who work there come on here and my car is still there. i will see what they say then if i am still not happy all will be revealed.

i know alot of people off here go to this garage as well, but this "service" is ridiculous
