Drug dealers using scoobys!!
#1
I heard today, of somone who had their scooby nicked, after being threatened with a baseball bat. Theives took car, with keys. Tracker activated and car found undamaged, less than 3 miles away.
It would appear that they nick the car, park it up, wait to see if plod turns up - ergo has tracker.
If it has tracker no deal. If it doesn't then off down the motorway to make a drop, at a normal speed, but if plod approaches can burn them off.
Anyone else heard a similar story?

ideal car, carries 5 wides, a boot with plenty of space for gear and can be driven quickly by someone with no skill.....its ideal, though it probably does attract too much attention in the real world, oh also common as muck to find

Tracker man told me that was how the thieves overcome the system.
They usually leave it in a pub car park on a Friday/Saturday night. Not to suspicious that way. If its still there in 24hrs they now its not got a tracker.

A quick question for Kane, How do you track a dealers mobile? Is there like a Dealers phone book where you can look them up?
If so, where do I get one? lol j/k
Cheers

What an odd thread!!!
Though from experience the leaving of stolen vehicles in car parks happens all the time, we spend time on shift driving expensive hotel car parks checking VRM's to find stolen vehicles.
As for tracking mobiles.... SSSSSHHHHHHH!!! Somethings best left alone (taps nose with finger!!)
Certainly in Manchester a scooby is a n image thing and most of the dealers/gang members i know have one or have had one, they're usually imports, about MY97-MY98 with a few round little holes in them (you think i'm kidding.) Only reason i'm not stopped so much is i'm 100% careful to stick to the limits and am careful where i drive!!
