Hi all, just picked up my new scoobmobile, STI TYPE R VER5. can't describe the feeling driving it. Been a BMW fan up unitil now and worked my way up through 3 series upto M3 evo which did not live upto my expectations.
Can't believe the general good vibe on this site and helpfulness of fellow scoobsters, ggggrrrreeaaattttttt fffffuuuuunnnnnnn!!!!!!

SCOOBNOV,
You had an M3 EVO now you've got a Scoob and you consider it a move up - you are my man!!!
Now do me a favour and get in to the Other Marques forum , hang around until the weekly M3 thread starts up, wait until they get going on the M3 is better than a Scoob stuff and then nail 'em for me will you?
In all seriousness welcome to Scoobynet and I hope you enjoy the car.
Cheers,
tiggers.

If the M3 had lost a bit of weight and had a better steering and suspension setup,, it might be close,, but the scoob does it for me.

SCOOBNOV,
Thank God there is someone who agrees with me. Admittedly I've only ever had a couple of hours behind the wheel of an M3 and leaving the marketing BS/image thing aside I thought it was a very well put together car, great interior, finish, gorgeous engine etc. etc.
However in terms of real world performance and out and out handling I still don't feel it's a £40K car especially when you consider a Scoob costs considerably less. It came home to me when the day after driving the M3 I got to drive my Scoob across Wales in the early hours of a morning and I know exactly what you mean about the country road blast feeling - huge grin
At the end of the day for what I want from a car I feel the Scoob is a better bet, but I stress this is only my opinion. However, it is nice to finally know I'm not alone.
Cheers mate,
tiggers.
