My local dealer filled my car with Mobil 1 5/40w oil yesterday. I have just read updates from other owners who say it is not good for Impreza Turbos. Is this true?

it is true, its a little thin for the engine, he should have used Mobil 1 Motorsport at 15w/50 it think, on another oil with the correct rating.

Told me that the 5w/40 is a special blend that Mobil make for Subarus and is fine.

It is the 0w/40 that should be avoided.
