I for one couldn't give a Monkeys now what they're doing....
The constant barrage of Guess work in all these threads is Doing my head in....
I for one shall be sticking with what I know till whatever the hell it is hits a pump near me.

I too popped into a BP station after reading the threads on here.
It was when I neared the 30 plus litres that I saw the 83p a litre sign - nearly dropped the nozzle!
Not felt any difference than the SUL i usually use. I'll save me a couple of quid per tank in future and stick with common SUL!!!

The reason you won't notice any difference is because its 97 RON, i.e. same as SUL.

One good thing out of all this I've found, is that my local Shell station has dropped its price of Optimax! 
I'm happy, so thank you BP for causing a price war!
Long may it continue.
