Last one I saw (which was a bit back now) had a reserve of 20, it didnt make the reserve, and I was offered it for 18k, but that offer was only valid till close of business that day

Again it was a good few months back, so I guess a bit less than that now

Cheap motor for someone...

why is it a staff car / repo?

My car is currently leased through IM finance (subaru) which is one of the many trading names for Royal Bank of Scotland's vehicle leasing section. With it being 2 years old it could well be one of their 24 month leases that they are now getting rid of.

Seen it today and it was a repo, ie no service history or log book. Still made £17,825 though.

Talking

Not bad for no history and at auction.

So much for the P1 price crash then been waiting for it for 2.5 years, exactly how long ive had mine since new seems the P1 residual knockers have been proved wrong yet again.

15k muppet crew will have to wait a bit longer

I thought it would make about £18k but it did have a 6" scuff on the corner of the splitter. Apart from that it was in good condition, oh and it had only done 20k not 30

Red face

Well, there are a few people out there who offer silly money on P1s!!
Went to my local dealer the other day to have my P1 serviced and i was able to take out their STi 8 PPP for a demo run.
When i got back to the dealers we got talking figures. They did a full assessment and then made a couple of calls! Came back with a figure of £12k trade in against an STi.
Now my car aint a wreck, its in great nick, sensible mods with a full service history etc, so i just had to laugh on my way out!!

Something is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. Obviously whomever bought the P1 at auction thought it was worth it. If it "seams" dear to you then thats up to you.

As it happens I flicked through the Autocar mag today and happened to look at a few P1 dealers ads, Y reg P1s similar mileages, and assumed full service history, were going for 21k.

I have never seen a P1 private or otherwise at the Holy Grail of £15k, unless it was an 'insurance job' or a total shed.

No log book = no tax, well at least until a new log book comes through, which can takes 4-8 weeks IIRC.

It probably has been serviced but as it was a repo, the service history/log book will still be with the previous owner.

I think it will be up for sale pretty soon for £20-£21k

Well, that's what they suggest but actually you can TAX a car without it. I've done it in my job -Disposals Manager.

By the way, When a mate was looking for an EVO VI, there was one at BCA -Manchester who I know very well. It too was a B-O-S car with a res of £10k !! It made £12,750 IIRC And it was a T plate and they spent the day before the sale getting it to run and cleaning it. We got one -again from B-O-S- from Blackbushe in the end for £10,500, a 2001 /Y (mis-described)non runner with 8,000mls. £2k later it's sorted. He's happy and I bought a Scoob to keep up
