Yep, cheers, ill delete it in a bit.
How they've managed to register that as a T plate I do not know. Cheeky *******s. Got the old shape bumper (3 vents at the sides) and low level spoiler.

97 / 98 dash and interior was upgraded from MY96. The interior is deffo from 98.
Suppose it could have been registered late, but they were selling like hot cakes back then, so would be surprised.

It looks like a late registered MY98 car! (Geeky proof below!! )
Low level spoiler (MY92-98 UK)
[MY99/00 cars have the mid-level spoiler]
Old style front bumper (MY92-98)
[MY99/00 cars have the front bumper with 1 hole below the indicator, not 2]
16" 5 spoke alloy wheels (MY98/99)
[MY92-97 cars have 5 spoke 15" wheels & MY00 cars have 6 spoke 16" wheels]
Momo steering wheel without silver ring (MY98)
[MY92-97 have generic Subaru steering wheels & MY99/00 cars have Momo wheels with a silver ring around the Momo logo]
High wing back seats with grey and black trim (MY97/98)
[MY92-96 have a seperate headrest, MY99/00 cars have grey and dark blue interior]
Centre dash cubby hole (MY98-00)
[MY92-97 do not have this cubby hole]
Check what sort of brakes it has (if they say 'SUBARU' on them, they are from a MY99/00 UK car) and I expect it will have the old style 2-pot calipers with no writing on them (MY92-98)

Wasn't '98 the year we went to TWO letter changes per year? So a T plater could have been registered in March(??) 99, but still be the 98 model? IIRC, the model changed for the August registration in 99? That's when it went to clear lights etc, Subaru 4 pots, and the higher STi4 spoiler. Mine HAD earlier lights, low spoiler, and 2 pot brakes.
I've a 98 UK car, registered Aug '98, and it looks like that car, but min's on an S plate. I sem to remember a comment at the time of buying, that we'd be the first people whose car was a year old after 6 months!:

Coulr be an imported car where it was first registered (whenever) but regstered in the UK as a T plate.
Had same thing happen to me very recently.....bought a car that was sold to me as a 07/2002 car. Mileage and condition supported this as did the HPI check. Went to local dealers to have the car serviced and was informed that my 02 plate 2002 car was infact firt registered abroad in march of 1999!
Luckily it bought from a dealer who has since refunded all monies etc.

Looks like the new shape dash to me... Totally different to the dash in my MY96.
Granted that on a T plate, it should have the newer front bumper, however it could have been registered late.

My mate has a MY98 S reg with that front, that steering wheel, that gear gaiter, but he has an STI 4 mid level spoiler, as I believe it was standard on late 98 onwards cars.
Something not right.....
Unless it is a MY98 registered later of course.

My other half has a 1996 Suzuki Cappuccino on an R plate so what top boss says is correct, hers was first registered Jan 98. Just got to wonder why it was sat around for 2 years or whatever...
