I was getting problems (DNS error) a few weeks back when i updated Norton I contacted Virgin (with whom i am with on a 56k line) and they got me to delete all my offline content, cookies, online content and history.
This sorted the problem out but over the last two days i have had the same problem so i have deleted everything again and now i am back on with everything ok.
It seems as soon as i log the DNS 500 error i cannot get on no matter how much i refresh therefore i delete everything and start again and...
If anyone tries this, dont forget to remember your password coz this will be lost when you delete everything
Edited to say it just feckin happened to me again so i have come in using the http://217.79.111.23/bbs

Hi Folks,
There seems to be a wide spread access problem with SN. People seem to be getting DNS problems.
I have not had any such problems here & can ping the server fast.
I have logged a call with out Service Provider.
Regards,
Shaun.

Hi folks,
Unfortunately we have some major problems with our servers, but normal service will be resumed by the weekend hopefully.
If you are reading this, you will obviously have access.... please ensure you use the temp url of http://217.79.111.23/bbs for the time being.

And so it begins I'm an NTL user who can't access Scoobynet via URL so as predicted by the webmaster using IP Wonder how many read that message before it bombed?
