I have ordered about 6 packs of the spin caps.
Plain silver ones. Email me if you are interested, and I will let you know when they arrive.
Dave.

Went throught 5 sets of gold ones before saying **** it
I'd have thought twice about buying the second pack, nevermind the third, fourth and fifth!!
I bet just about every BMX in North Yorkshire has gold caps now!

If they cut their fingers nicking your caps, its you that will end up in court, facing a personal injury claim - England, don't you just love it

Any one got any reasonable 'legal' suggestions to stop all the little ba**ards nicking me nice metal dustcaps. Im onto me fourth set, [only a tenner a set from halfords] but cost of replacement is mounting, they look nice on my prodrive 18". the only solution i can think of short of going round the street and plantin every dad who lives there in case its his kid lolol is getting sh1tty balck plastic ones ?!?!
Any one have any ways of dealing with this ??

The richbrook "anti theft" ones dont work, any determined cap pincher carries a 10mm spanner and a pair of pliers, and the poxy little grub screw will end up chewing your valve to ribbons, which means you end up having to get another fitted. The flush fit ones are supposed to be a bit unreliable (or so i've been told).
A few members on the ffoc have ordered these www.spincaps.com and seem to think that they are the best solution they have seen yet.

Little ******* have had SOME of my 3 sets too First time they took 2 of them, second and third time they took only one
I had the allen key locking ones to start with, seems they will take them anyway however they are secured
Its not really the money, just the b!loody annoyance and inconvenience of having to get some more.
God help them if i ever catch them in the act

I know a way of teaching the little pr*cks a lesson, involving ball bearings, air pressure and pain, but it could just make 'em angrier...

I've found when I Tighten them up they scratch the wheel trying to get them off, just leave them loose.
This is a sad story but not long back was losing a set every weekend, ended up setting a video camera up to see if I could catch the little **** at it, turned out to be the milkman.
Motorist Discount Centres do a set for £2.99 and they look just as good as the expensive ones................must do cause they still go missing but a lot cheaper to replace
Mark.

lmao@some of the good suggestions and the real depth of feeling this thread has got going here, ive collared a couple of the kids tonight and offered em 5 quid if they can locate my caps or turn grass lololol, but as i like the metal, i thinki ill go for the antitheft ones, i dont think my cap thieves are 'hard core' international cap thieves, just daft little kids, so i think the anti theft will deter em, my caps only go missing when my car is on my drive, never anywhere else, the first time was my next door neighbours son, i caught him with em on his bike !! lolol
ive got my 7year old an his mates also working covert ops trying to spot metal caps on any bikes in the street lolol

spincaps or similar idea available here ?? anyone ???
lost 3 the first time, replaced all four for new locking ( ?? )!! ones and had them for a total off four weeks, then two went missing !!! getting to the stage where its the first thing I check when I return back to the car !!!!
only problem with the suposdly " no removable ones ( spincaps ) is that the tea leaf may take his frustrations out on the actual car after leaving empty handed ?? !!!
and yes,can vouch that the ones on e-bay, etc are good value at around £2.99 "buy it now" for four with key ring removal tool, good quality also, should know, have owned two sets in the past !! and will now have to pay a visit to e-bay again now.....!!
