Have been on holiday for the last two weeks and went to start the Scoob tonight, but nothing. Flat battery!! So went to jump start it with the works van but the leads kept sparking so kind of put me off!! Anyway now I cant even lock/alarm the car. Its totally dead I cant even turn the immobiliser off. Is this something as simple as a blown fuse, or has a security feature kicked in??? Please help my poor Scoob.........

Sounds like you connected the leads the wrong way round, possibly tripped a fuse, have a look in the fuse box and then stick a trickle charger on for a while should give it enough power to get you goin, red to red

I'm pretty sure I connected the leads the right way round I even done it the 'proper' way by grounding the vans battery (which makes a change). Fuses are my next port of call but would they affect the alarm remote and/or the immobiliser fob???

If your battery is completely flat you will get a spark when you attatch the jump leads. Leave the works van running and attatch the jump leads red to positive black to negative.Go have a cuppa or wait at least ten mins for the scooby battery to accept a bit of charge and then try and start it ( whilst the works van is still running ) Dont worry about a little spark when you connect the leads its because theres a potential difference between the two batteries ( 12v if its completely flat)

Thumbs up

I'm going to try again tomorrow but I need to sort this electrical problem out first, which I am hoping and praying is just a fuse
