I'm looking at changing my WRX for some thing a bit quicker and a local dealer is about to get a 99 V-limited in, I've seen pictures of the car and it looks like a type R with a roof vent but I haven't got a clue about the spec's for this model at all. So any info at all will be a great help.

v-lims are normal just cosmetic stuff. Nicer interior, dash and seats, dashboard plaque, roof vents, spoilers plus all the kit, climate, electrics and normally a special colour like sonic blue.

I would have a limited version, if I didnt have one already LOL.

WRX STI V5 Type-R Limited?
WRX STI V5 RA Limited?
WRX RA Limited?

Each one has suttle differences including gearing between R and RA?

Cool

Don't forget the WRX Type R V-Ltd.
2 Door coupe in sonic blue, but no STi bits. Shame.

PS - Nice Car, DanTheMan !!

My WRX type R V. Limited (non STI) put out 269.1BHP on the rollers at Prosport, its completly standard, not bad for getting from A to B, roof flap is useless though

My roof flap is absolutely brilliant, grabs loads of fresh air & circulates it (saves using a/c) and it blows right onto you keeping you really fresh.
Should be fitted to every car IMHO

I think it's the STI TYPE R but I didn't have a clue about the WRX model so I'll have to check when it gets here. What kind of price should I be paying for a 1999 TYPE R V-Limited in the UK?

Right now there seem to be about 20 on autotrader and the cheapest V5 is £14,000 and the most expensive is £17,000 (apart from one that is 20K) keep your eyes on the for sale section here, the Limited models are very rare though.........

Hey Dan the Man.

That's a good spec listing.

As major components go, add these onto your list.

Longer 5th Gear (longer than the RA and normal type R imports anyway).
Mechanical rear LSD.

Mike.
