Question

Found out one of the major rattles in my 99 STi5 is the fookin' passenger seat !! Can't always have a passenger in the car !!
Anyone else found this?
More importantly, how do you stop it ??
(And b4 u say it - I'm not taking the seat out !!)

got the same rattle in my scoob(99 UK)traced it to the seat runner which was replaced under warranty 2 years ago,now it's back which makes me think the dealer did a quick fix to shut it up(or maybe common prob?)bit of a bodge but i stuffed some card in between the gap in the runners and hey presto quiet seat.i hate me rattles but as people love to keep reminding me don't buy a scoob if you want it to be quiet!

Mine does it in 2 places!

the adjstable base and the reclining mechanism on the backrest

unfortunalty my flat mate is a seat engineer and he says its jsut backlash in the mechanism and common on all seats and will only get worse with time

seems like a good excuse to fit race seats!!!!
