is this worth buying.ecu prodrive

some one selling this on e bay is there any problems with buying this I.E warrentry,it beening faulty ect.

Technically, it will invalidate your warranty because its not fitted by a dealer/Prodrive, so if your engine goes "pop" you might have a problem - whatever the cause. I doubt many dealers would touch that install either... PPPs come with an installation certificate.
I was under the impression that Prodrive ECUs came in marked boxes? Not just "piggyback" boards...
Also, to get the full benefit, you need the other parts, but these are reasonably simple to re-create

i'm not saying ptmw is wrong but i have just bought a second hand ecu (along with other bits). as they were official subaru parts dealer said it wouldnt affect the warranty. but different dealers say different things.
