Have to say I had no claims on my first UK scoob and none of my second/current/grey import scoob and is now outside warranty. I have had 2 fords whilst having my current scoob and had a 3 warranty claims between the two cars, dealt with no problem I may add.
Maybe people drive their Subarus harder and mod trhe cars more and things break. As much as I like my Focus cant say I would spend 6K on it like I have on the scoob.

Had one warrenty claim in 2.5 years of scooby ownership, a leaking washer fluid bottle, dont think this cost +£1000 though;/.
I think we all know that Scoobys can and do go wrong and when they go wrong it is usally an expensive job to put write. These are performace cars, how many other performace cars can you see with AWD ETC in this so called top chart.
I still enjoy driving my scoob, and i think there is no other car that is such a joy to drive.
If your car is serviced at the correct intervals then breakdowns and faults should be kept to a minimum, this goes for any make of car.

I've previously read the detail on this and its another case of v selective journalism. Certain manufacturers suffer cos the results are based on v old models or cars covering a much higher average mileage than others.
Cost of repairs also weigh the results of some cars down disproportionately like scoobies.

Did they divide the Subaru class into UK, Euro-imports and Jap-imports???
And did they take into account the 3 year inclusive warranty provided with UK cars?? Thus no repair bills for quite a while!

They say sample average was 4.8 years old & 50,000 miles.
I would guess if they are supplying warranties to 5 year old cars they would be getting some Imports & some extended UK car warranties. They dont break it down in models/years.

I must say i find the results a little bit strange.
Each year over here in holland over 25000 readers of a car mag could express theyre opinion about their own car.
Points of interest were 2nd hand value , reliabiltity and price/performance ratio to name but a few
The impreza as a model and subaru as a brand came out top in 4 important categories for the 2nd year in a row.
And then half a year later it's all gone(i dont think so)
