the side vents on my bonnet have a rubber plate under the fins that block them off.On some scoobys ive seen they have like a black mesh over them and look as though they are open (but i havent got close enough to see!!)Basically i wanna know can they be opened to let more air in/heat out ect.Obviously they are right over the air filter and battery (RAIN)!!!! 93 WRX

I've got the same as you mate on my MY98.. i take em off when its warm and sunny and usually stick em back on when it rainy... havn't put em back on for a while... rain does go through but probably falls out during driving...
