Got a proper dB(A) meter - so I thought I'd do a test today. Here's the results -

UK MY99 with Scoobysport C/Section and Backbox

95dB(A) : cool:: eek::c ool:

Test conditions - 1.2 meters @ 45 degree angle. Revs @ about 4000 rpm.

Really annoyed my workmates too - always a bonus!!

Anybody want their car tested - I feel an interesting sideline coming up "Noise-tests prior to trackdays"!!!

Any takers ?

Dan

Track is normally 98 or something.

I wouldnt mind mine being tested. When i've done track sessions they havent bothered testing me - so dunno what it is!

Exclamation

Uh-oh...

If yours gets 95dba Dan, then mine must be approaching 190dba!!

I could do with finding out for certain how bad it is.

The Bedford Autodrome incident () started at 87 dBa and was reduced to 85 dBa

I don't do track days (too chicken), but am looking to do Nurburgring next year....

Andy - let me know if you want yours done

My old STi RA showed 92.6 at castle combe earlier in the year.

Surprised the sh*te out of me, as it had a full scoobysport de-cat!

Think for every 6db increase the sound doubles or something like that .
