be carefull lads theres alot of **** happening around these days, in other words anything for money, ill tell you why,me and 2 lads went out to buy a lexus is200 from slough last thursday as im from leeds. with a landline number and a pay as you go mobile number advertised, we went down as it sounded quite cheep and genuine, when we got there (please note that the lads selling the car wanted cash as they told us they dont have a bank accountfor a cheque or bankers draft)the lad told us to meet at a certain place as we parked up 3 black lads came with guns and demanded our money off us, we had a brawl and one of them fired missing my friend from inches, but there was too much shouting going on and they fled emty handed we notified the police and they told us that theyve already struck some other lads from middlesborough but also fled emty handed,the cars are advertised as trade and private and eyecathching prices as far as i know maybe more the cars advertised are a HONDA S2000 x reg, BMW m3 cab in silver 51 reg,a AUDI TT, and a lexus is200 y reg all from slough(london) what they are doing is telling people to come down with cash and then pinning them at gun point, COULD ANYONE PLEASE MAIL THIS THREAD TO OTHER CLUBS ETC as i dont want anyone to be put in my shoes as these cars are advertised above 10k alot of cash, one more thing the guy who is selling the car is called KHAN(well hes advertised as khan in the adverts on the net)when you phone him he is sweet and sounds very genuine, my advise make sure if there is a landline number someone picks it up, and the cars that these people have advertised dont exist please spread this advert all over the net cheers

one more thing please not that these cars are advertised all over the autotraders in block ads and they have used a dodgy credit card to advertise so the police told me

Its the same when you sell your cars (performance cars) people will pose as buyers and hijack your car when taking it for a test drive... its happened to two people i know and one lad who asked me and a few mates to be there when some lads phoned up wanting to buy his motor.. he asked us to be there because they wanted to see the car away from town (said it was more convenient for them) and sounded dodgy. They were asking for a test drive when me and a few other lads arived at the place and suddenly they changed their mind,said they not intrested anymore. you can't be too carefull nowadays..

I thought it was generally accepted that you never meet people at anywhere but the address on the registration document when buying privately.

Glad to hear your ok mate but as with other posters, if the motor already sounds to cheap to be true and then some nice chap says meet me at such and such a place and bring cash surely the alarm bells start ringing and you tell him to FRO.

I think common sense is the key here but these scamming gits are getting very clever and can almost make a dodgy deal look exactly like a genuine one. I mean, advertising a landline that will never be answered and then having a mobile number that is PAYG and unregistered.

Just goes to show, you can never be too careful.

This weekend my bro in-law was selling a Nissan 200sx and the guy was comming to look at it from slough and his name was also Kahn. Mr Kahn and 2 other guys were looking at it with my bro in-law and whilst looking around it one of them distracted him and stole the spare set of keys. They didn't want to hand over cash in a car park (was his works car park) so he gave them an address where the car was being stored. Anyway they came back later that evening and stole it.

Then early hours of the morning me and my brother heard the car come back (think they may have been after one of the other cars the family has or were maybe returning it???). We went out and they saw us from the end of the street and drove away with his mates in another car.

REMEMBER PEOPLE PLEASE BE WARY OF THESE PEOPLE!!!

Apperently they struck in Coventry aswell and almost got away with my friend's, friend's 360 Modena. Luckily they couldn't start the car and the owner was unwilling to start it, so they just beat the poor guy up. This guy also went by the name "Khan" and was with 3 other black guys.

These are a ruthle$$ bunch of w@nkers, who'd do almost anything for a nice car.
