My scoob slidded n slided through a fast corner too.. think it was to do with the low tire thread got me brand spankin new ones and it holds the road like a magnet.
What speed were you doing when you did that thingy to the VR6???

What happened, did the corner tighten unexpectedly, or were you simply carrying too much speed and understeered off?
Either way, a Golf (even with a big heavy VR6 over the front axle) is a lot more predictable on the limit than an Impreza is!

I had just recently got my suspension kit put on so was testing it round every corner i came to (silly yes i know). Felt the car sliding out tried to catch it but i think i over compensated for the slide....ended up doing a silly full lock one way and then the other manouver. By that time it was too late!
Since then i am more sensible and wise....yeah i learnt the hard way!

I bet the picture in Auto Trader was taken from the other side!
BTW, in what way do you think owning a Scooby will magically stop you misjudging the amount of available grip?
