Cool

Ok, i brought scooby_si's UK turbo the other week, std apart from a NUR SPEC zorst & dump value.

What mods can i do to her to increase the power and what gains can i expect...

You've only just got it and you think it should be quicker? What were you driving before?

This is a piece of string question. How much you'll get depends on how much you spend, and after a certain point you have to spend an awful lot to get a comparatively small power gain.

You can get to 265-270bhp with a very handy mid-range torque increase for not very much money (knocklink, AFR meter, boost gauge, boost controller, decat = £650 or so). Beyond that you're looking new turbo, remap, fuel pump and reg as a minimum, the bits above plus probably another £1200, even assuming you go for a secondhand turbo.

Before you even think about any of this though, the first thing to find out is how much your insurance will sting you for any given power gain. Some allow a fair degree of latitude, some virtually none, and it's much better to find out the bad news before you shell out on the mods.

No point having the extra go without being able to insure the car...

Damn fine idea to start with that Greasemonkey, im with L&V and all they said was if i increase the power i do need to call em, so as a fone call is cheaper bout a £1, better start there.
I was driving a Cav Sri, then got my sport then find L&V so the sport went and in came the turbo, but on the way home from the Derby meet couldn't keep up with SpecialX so me thinks more power is needed. But thanks for the info.

Obviously check but everytime i stuck sumin new on they just said well we've already got u as upgraded this that & the other.... lol
Guess you'll need to look at ECU & downpipe (ie full decat) now m8 but all the gauges will be cunning if yer going down that route!

yeah ya ***** i kept up with the scooby convoy (just) on the way to trax in me mondeo although the sound of squealing tyres from junctions & roundabouts was a bit of a distraction lol.

"Tried going on diet, or maybe even going round corners faster?"

it's actually a fuel tank for a sex machine, and yes tried the corners but there seems to be a bloody camera every time waiting for me... lol

You're obviously not trying hard enough. Camera won't catch your numberplate if you go round corners sideways!
