Edcase, PE defo mucked you around, I get the impression it was just a bad day that you caught them. When we got their they were messing around with their mates 'problem' with fitting nitro, so good chance they rushed yours to help out their mate.
Then the actual guy that worked on your car wasn't their to talk to you properly and the fella we spoke to didn't really know as much about your situation as the other. And didn’t give you or your car the attention it deserved for the cash you were paying.
My impression is that they’re not out and out p1ss takers, but you got a raw deal, being late Friday afternoon as well. This dosen’t make it good, at the end of the day you still paid your money and I would still be wanting a serious word with them if I was in your shoes.
The main thing is that there wasn’t anything majorly wrong with your car, you live and learn, and this will always be a risk with modifying you car that these little things will come up! Once you get yourself a large turbo and some bigger injectors you’ll can expect BHP in the late end of 300 and you’ll be laughing!

Right, some of you may have read my thread / talked to me at trax yesterday about my cam sensor and running in limp mode.
Well, it turns out that its actually because I reset the car to low boost map without realising it.
How you may ask? Well, apparently if you press the heated rear window button on WOT, it toggles between maps on the ECU. When I set of yesterday AM it was steamed up, so I put on my rear demist then forgot about it. When we went to pull off the motorway I noticed it on so I pressed it as I was accelerating up the slip road past a car. When I pulled away from the lights I felt the car was funny, then the CEL light came on and I got the cam sensor fault.
So, to cut a long story short, I just went out and tried pressing it again just now after someone told me about this 'feature' and lo and behold, it jumps back to full boost.
I am *seriously* fuc*ing angry, as their failure to tell me about this has just cost me my day at trax. I didn't do the morning session at all, and the afternoon session I just babied around.
Also, I had full knocklink lit once when in low boost mode!
Really, really unimpressed and shall be making a firm phonecall tomorrow morning.

Cheers chaps, yeah getting the cam sensor replaced tomorrow and a fresh load of castrol rs bunged in
Chris - how hard is the ring on tyres? I notice on the videos there is a good mix of right and lefts, unlike the shorter circuits where you get most wear on the front-right.

Ahh I see the error I made now.
I WAS on scoobyzone...till I clicked that link of yours to here
As soon as I get hold of PAT and wring some 740's out of him (in the nicest possible way of course)
Intercooler went off for final welding (bottled it myself in the end, didn't fancy screwing up nerly £800 quids worth of core.
Just got airbox to do while I wait for the cooler and it's done.

Nathan - ot planning on much. Castrol RS, some basic tools in case I want to change roll bar settings etc. Brakes and tyres should be ok with their current levels...

Well I was thinkin' 'bout parking the other night
We was out on a back road
Me and my lady was just gettin' right
All systems on overload
Radio blasting in the front seat
Turnin' out the music fine
We were snuggled up in the scooby
Makin' up for lost time
Steamy windows
Zero visiblity

Ed,
I was going to say, how often are you on full throttle when you decide you need to hit the demist button, but then I remembered this is you we are talking about, and I suppose you are always on full throttle?
You asked:
The answer is, the Ring is quite -> very hard on tyres (depending on how you drive of course) and yes, even though it is a clockwise circuit, your off side (right) tyres will get a fairly even pasting
So just to clarify, the low boost map is ok now that your cam sensor has been replaced (as is presumably, the high boost map)? It was an unlucky coincidence that the two things happened at the same time?
Cheers,
Matt

Matt - dunno what you mean matey
Looks like the whole thing was pure coincidence. I was overtaking someone off the slip road to try and beat the lights when I realised the demist was still on. Imagine my surprise when I pulled away from the lights like a sport
The cam sensor was even more of a coincidence!!!
Back on hi boost now, no CEL light, seems ok. Still not happy with the tek2 tho, slight hesitations here and there etc. Plus I asked for / paid for / expected a TEK3. Will be 'discussing' that shortly.
