Ian, You can't blame scoobynet as a whole, it has 30,000+ subscribers not to mention how many
people just read the bbs. It's a very very low minority that made the childish comments and there not all
forced to be scooby owners, it could of been anyone out there wanting to cause racist trouble inclunding members on your own board.

Lunchtime, yesterday...
Came out of the office in Yeadon, Leeds and was cut off whilst pulling out of the Industrial Estate by two young Asian lads in a bodykitted old Corsa with a silly-loud exhaust. They threw me a rather dirty look as they did it which annoyed me and I slowed down wondering why they were heading into the estate and towards a dead-end.
Basically, where they were heading to is behind a large factory where we have to park our cars. There's nothing else down there and for that reason I couldn't see why they had any business going down there.
I pulled up and watched and it soon became obvious why they were heading down there...
They pulled up right behind my colleague's MY99 Impreza (plenty of other cars there but this one obviously was of most interest) and got out. At this point the situation got the better of me so I called work and told the owner to come out with a few others and I spun my car round and flew back towards them. Upon seeing me they jumped back in their car. I pulled up alongside and asked them "alright lads, lost something have we ?" at which point they screamed off at speed out of the street..
I didn't give chase because they hadn't actually done anything to his Scoob, and I couldn't really have done anything anyway, but I did get the number plate and a very good look at the two of them.
They were later seen by another colleague of mine who had just gone to lunch, pulled up in a lay-by near the airport tunnel on the main road towards Pool-in-Wharfedale.
Maybe I'm making a big thing of it but I wonder what might have happened had I have not noticed or intervened.
So in the Leeds area, be wary if you see a dirty-white 1993 Corsa, with a GSI bodykit, all colour-coded, black alloys (or just very dirty) and with white colour-coded rear light clusters. The reg no was K100 RSA (obviously to look like the word Korsa - hmm..)..
Haven't been seen since and generally there are not many Asians in the Yeadon area, so I'm pretty sure that they were not local. Of course, this worries me more because I wonder how they knew that the Scooby was even there. They didn't seem to be driving around looking at random for a car, they seemed to drive straight to it.
Anyway.. keeps your eyes peeled if you're in the area and get every single lock you have on when you leave your baby.
Cheers,
John

Sharp work my friend...
It was definitely that car.. same characters on the number plate and everything..
It had the multi-spoked wheels on from the darker photos on the other website, not the larger 5-spoked ones from the pic above..
Noticed that one of the pics has a for sale sign in the window.. maybe its been sold recently and the new owners are the peeps I encountered...
The local police are aware...

John as any one tried the corsasport website cos this car is off there or the previous owner is...you may be able to find out who bought it and offer the police the information.
Just a thought?

John, I may have seen that Corsa around yours when I was over visiting Tom on Monday. Saw a few on the way from Leeds to Yeadon, but that one stands out a bit.
I assume the Scoob is the DBM one parked round the corner from your office??

DW,
Yup, its that one.. btw mate.. where was the MR2 ?! You still got it ?
AP2000,
Disklok is a good idea.. tho we were more concerned about the types who just make note that the Scoob is there and then bide their time and wait for an opportunity to jump the owner.. when asked for keys with a gun or knife pointed at you its a little difficult to say "no, bog off !"
Mind you the car is pretty well protected with plenty of gizmos to secure it.. and the lad who owns it is pretty handy too..
Still can't get over how they just bolted and didn't even try and act innocently.. weird !!

Right just to set the record straight, this used to be my car, I sold it to two asian guys from luton back in march.
now if anymore of you big brave boys fancy having a go with abusive or virused e-mails do me a favour and send them to KRO of corsasport, as thats who I sold it to.
I will not tolerate anymore abusive or rascist emails or comments from pathetic idiots.
I hope that is the end of any problems for me.
I sincerely feel for the guy who thinks his car might be under threat, best thing if you catch the idiots is a fecking good kicking, or my favourite of slashing across the *** cheeks with a nice ol stanley blade, they wont be sitting on any car seats for a while.
regards
Tony
