Steve do you have to hide the mods as well?
Thats not easy when I had the link and the turbo changed on my classic she noticed when she used it one day -
Her -Why is your car going faster now?
Me - errrrr
Her - What have you done?
Me - errrrr
Her - You been spening money on it again
Me - errrrrr anyway how do you know its faster? I told you not to boot it.
Her - errrrr
Since then my cars have been modded at service time

It's a jap import in black. Its a beautiful machine ... electronic climate control, reclining rear seats, and 240 bhp (I think)

Managed to persuade the wife to buy a turbo one
I wonder when the PPP is due out
Although found out the USA turbo has the USA STI's engine in. Albiet de-tuned to only 210Bhp. It will do 60 in 6.2 seconds though.

Forester is next on my list for Emmas car, although only concern is towing ability, it will need to be able to tow horsebox with 2 horses in!.
Sammy, have you looked on subaru uk website on the used or demonstrators section.
I also looked on autotrader and there were one or 2 on there that were not green.
Hasn't Chuck/Old Fart just bought one??

when I mentioned the Green thing I meant to say that all the ones in our price range were green.
Too expensive is a no-no and I need to keep her away from those ones because she'll go on about me having 3 brand new cars in 4 years etc...etc
Most married men will relate to the above comment

Sammy, i cant hide the mods anymore, she usually scowls or rolls her eyes when i say, David is helping me fit this or that, etc
She doesnt drive it that often anyway, and the last time she did, in 18 miles she did not generate positive boost once
Worrying with the forester would be whether she treat it with the same sympathy her current 4x4 gets, ie non what so ever!. To frineds and family its know has the skip!!
Would be a shame to ruin such a car.
Oh well, will give in at some point, and buy her a new car!

Yep, I have one, in silver, with Auto and leather - real old mans car...swapped the STI8PPP for it.
Spent all last week trekking around the New Forest in it, wudda taken the real car but was camping and needed space.
In the 700 miles we've done I have to say its a brill family car. Suspension is perfect for what it does flies over speedbumps/kerbs/4 year olds etc Was alot of fun running up and down the single track roads, not worrying about slight off road experiences and aiming for every ford/puddle/bit of mud.
Not a huge amount of legroom in the back but adequate.tad better than STI.
Foldy-uppy rear seats are cool, can do it whilst sitting back there.
Plenty of low-down grunt..makes a change after revving the nuts off the STI. Very much encourages lazy, sub-50mph driving.
Only real cons are fuel economy - as with all these flat 4's it kinda sucks..did manage 305 miles out of 55 litres with roof box and bike on top though...motorway driving, and rattles/squeaks(but being blind I have sensitive ears).
I choose it over BMW, Audi and Ford..Germans were too expensive for little improvement, Ford, well Nicki hates Ford dealers.
Apparently PPP will be available, but intercooler is absolutely tiny..don't think I'll bother.
Was going to get gold wheels/skirts/sports grill etc etc but cant be bothered..looks best covered in mud anyway.
Rgds

We might need a new a Forester section of the BBS soon. Time for me to start
Forestersports
Looking at one for myself as well. Will certainly add the PPP. Sounds like an interesting car with all the extra power.

My parents have a forester non-turbo. It's nice to drive, & it will cope with towing a 19 ft keelboat, which is none too light. Seems to have a reasonable amount of power for towing, if not excessive.
Are you thinking turbo or non-turbo?

Sorry,
Been away from a PC for a couple of days.
I'm looking for about £8000 for my modded S/tb.
It comes with a UK Subaru service history since being import and all Japanese documentation to back up its life over there.
Pictures can be seen on:

Just scroll down to details for Nick Butt
