Top end for me is ~90mph at 4000rpm (still runinning in)
Fastest, red line in 6th in a F355 , not sure how fast that is though, concentrating on the corner coming up.
Silverstone, hanger straight last year

Did 145 (still a thou or so revs to go!) in my UK99 running 270bhp on lengthy driveway
Now running a TT MKIV Supra, about 330-350bhp I guess, and should do 170+ but not tried yet! Need to lengthen my driveway a bit more!

probably more like 140, speedos are very inacurate, especially the faster you go
You need the Police, or GPS for a more accurate reading

I have the road angel gps and it give you a speed reading
Lets just say they need MORE numbers on the dials and i have no idea where the impreza gets a top speed of 140 from?

LOL at Si
The point I was trying to make was that the speed would be indicated not actual
my car quite happily reads 85mph on motorways, but my GPS tells me I m really only doing 75
So double that, and my figures would be about right

150mph (GPS-measured 238kph) and still pulling - MY00 with PPP.
And yes I did it on a motorway! In public! With other people around!
Because I live in Germany where I can do it every day if I want

Had 95mph out of my car I use to commute, 1.0 litre 1995 Micra when I beat some little pr*ck in a 1.2 Corsa (bin), was a good laugh although I thought it was gonna roll over on one of the bends. Getting my first scoob on Wednesday so may give it a try, Bit scared of going over a hundred as I guess it is an instant ban if the filth catch you, and I have lost my licence before for totting up of 7 speeding offences in the early 90's. Been lucky/good boy ever since. Hope it doesn't change with the scoob, as when I lost it first time the smellies were always bothering me cos of the car I drove, a Mk 2 Astra GTE 16V (one of the ram raiders favorites at the time) so I guess I kind of expect it in my scoob, though it is a wagon. Sorry got carried away talking about nowt!

I also got 120 mph out of a Triumph Dolomite sprint (scary) I owned in the late eighties. Very fast car in a straight (more so 0 - 60) line surprised many 2.8 injection Capri's, RS Turbo's, etc in the traffic light racing scenario's. Was fine when it wasn't blowing diff's or destroying clutches. Handling was dangerous when dry, but in the wet it was lethal. Fast for a 1978 car though, and pretty advanced I guess 16V with single overhead cam, a touch more advanced than a Maxi lol, only just.

Poor Guy thats pretty impressive from any GT6.
Had a few of these in the 80's
My most highly tuned GT6 (running 2.7 lump on webbers 6-3-1 matched length tuned extractors exhaust race cam mucho modified suspension etc)
could just about get to 130 (indicated off the clock) and became a bit of a handful to say the least! Hope you have sorted the brakes out, standard ones are hopeless....try some capri 2.8 ones they fit! Watch the syncro on second!
Great fun motoring though!Hope you have joined the Triumph Sports Six Club, well worth it!

i have a s.e.c.s monitor and road angel in my wrx and at any given speed they both seem read the same which equates to a 10% error on the speedo.
This should give you an idea of your actual speed compared to the speedo reading. I have only taken mine up to 125 on the speedo but this allowing for the 10% error is only about 112.

Seen an indicated 165 (Supra), racing a Boxter S at the time. Poor chap didn't stand a chance, car still pulling well but eased off as i'd left him for dead and didn't need to go any faster.
Also had an indicated 170 on my old ZXR750 about 5 years ago.

MY99 RB5 on German Autobahn (flat, no wind) - 155mph indicated (Probably 145 taking into account standard speedo errors!) nothing more to give
MY03 STi on German Autobahn - 250kph (not had chance to go quicker due to traffic!)
Ferrari Testarossa on Track - 172mph before braking very hard for the corner at the end of the straight!
