i watched uk horizons the other day and clarkson had a modded cossie and this other women presenter come on the scene with the sti5 to race it round there circuit.cut this story short the women said the sti had 308 bhp and 270 tourqe i thought they had 276 bhp from the factory cause she didnt mention mods on it

The official power figures are always quoted as 280ps (276bhp) because that's the legal limit for cars sold in Japan. In reality, they're above this. Just over 300 is, IIRC, par for the course for an unmodded STi5

that was a grey version 5 type r which came equal with the modded cossie

i know it came level but werent aware it was a type r anyway she was a crap driver

That programme is a few years old and IIRC it was a lightly modded STI5, exhaust and filter I think. The woman was VBH and she use to race IIRC.

The car in question belongs to a mate of mine, Mod wise IIRC the car had a ScoobySport De-Cat exhaust system, and a RamAir panel filter.

5 Type R

STI 5 in standard is 276bhp/260lbft on 100RON fuel, so most read a genuine 270ish and 230-350lbft before any mods or mapping for UK fuel

had my 5 TYPE R on the rollers recentley its got a HKS air filter HKS exhaust but still has the cat running 1.2 bar boost it was 287 bhp @ 6500 RPM and 264lb of boost. Need 2 get rid of the cat I think
