had the mispleasure of talking to a evo7faq300 owner and have to say what a bullsh*tter
i made the mistake of saying is this yours and suddenly i get a motormouth going on about his evo would woop any scoob loads have tried and loads have failed
and that his evo did a 11.6 124mph 1/4mile at this i get a word in at last and say what have you done to it and he sais it is a bog standard faq300 at which i say no way this is bullsh*t that has to have 400bhp+ but he wouldn`t have it
now my scoob did a 13.1 1/4mile 2 weeks ago on the hottest day ever and there was a evo8faq300 the best he could do was 13.7 so come on what is this guy on or am i the bullsh*tter
oh by the way obviously not all evo drivers are dicks there are just as many scoob bullsh*tters

Every quarter mile meet I go to there is a dozen or more people there who stretch the truth. "It does 11 seconds mate at 120mph". Yeah! OK! Whatever you think mate.
Its a shame that people feel the need to lie.
My Dad's bigger than your Dad. So nerr!

Exactly.
"Oh the timing slip fell out of my window and got eaten by an aardvark".
At a couple i've been to you don't get slips, so its easy to get confused and knock 3 seconds off the time!

i am glad u lot agree with me what he also said was that sti7s have been wooped with and without ppp but what really made him a dick was when he said he had done a 11.6 i said he must of been in the 120s at which he said yeh 120 something 124 thats it now if you had done such an amazing run your time and speed would be engaved in your head
what i should of said was how about meeting up and seeing whos is fastest at which he probably would of said oh i am in a bit of a hurry bye

Hey I remember you!
Yours is a Mica Blue UK spec with TEK 2 (or was it 3 - but awaiting set up as it wasn't running right?) A custom air intake and a set of 18" speedlines etc
You ran that 13.1 1/4 mile at USC on the Sunday yeah!?!?!
Nice car!
The owner of the FQ300 sounds like a bit of a chump! Not content that his car is just plain fast anyway - he feels the need to claim these figures !!
I'd like to put him up against Ian Litchfield in his Spec C (hehehe) he probably wouldn't be so confident then!! Not after witnessing the car perfom on the Supercar Rally Day at Castle Coombe last Saturday 325 BHP standard (+ custom Exhaust = 330+) proven 0-60 in 4.2 and is as quick around some French race track as a Pagini Zonda

Yep def talking through his rear end. Its mathematics of power per ratio and few other bits n bobs, I've had people quoting really silly 1/4mile figures to me, and I personally just laugh at them if they are that far out. I have a theory spreadsheet and I'm usually pretty close.
You should of said he would struggle to get into the very high 12s and "demand" a race at Santapod or York. Or put him up against a car that really does do 11.6 at 120odd and he'll know about it!

I'm pretty sure a P1 ran a 13.1 on the saturday at USC, I managed a 13.3 in those conditions. Looking forward to the jap meet in october, hopefully with a more cooler climate.
As for the evo, if you see him ask him along to put up or shut up.

X Scooby, I was in a blue Type R, only did 1 run on the sunday, they seemed to **** up the organisation of the strip on the sunday, you had to wait over an hour to do your run. I did 3 runs each on the friday and saturday and you were only waiting 10 - 15 mins for your run. Hopefully see you all there next year, will be trying to arrange club parking for scoobynetters if anybody's intrested.
