my m8 at work has just gone out and brought a p reg Mitsubishi gto (3.0 twin turbo) he said its pushing about 300ish bhp, anywhow its damn quick, but i also got my wrx classic import model on the way over from japan, so im wondering whos gonna be the quickest off the lights?

The Mitsi GTO is one of the biggest automobile abortions ever to grace our roads. That is why you can pick em up for about 5k now.

They tried to create a skyline beater with trick electronics and got it BADLY wrong.

Just laugh at his foolishness.

big cars but not that good inside,, but i think well hopefully my wrx will give the car a run for its money

Don't knock the GTO - it was a great motor (my previous car) but the emphasis is most definately on the word WAS. Its good looking, handles reasonably well if set up is ok and knocks along at a fair rate of knots. Its also very heavy, runs at 285 BHP standard (3.0ltr Twin Turbo) and you're WRX import will take it in all aspects - have fun !!
